Korean Sharing Movement - Korea District Heating Corporation signed a reciprocal cooperative agreement for humanitarian cooperation with North Korea.

Korean Sharing Movement signed a contract with the Korea District Heating Corporation (KDHC) regarding humanitarian assistance to North Korean children and inter-Korean cooperation concerning the environment and reforestation of degraded land in North Korea.

On July 11th 2019, a contract signing ceremony between KSM and KDHC took place at the headquarters of KDHC in Gyeonggi province. Young-Dam, one of the co-standing presidents of KSM, and Chang-Hwa Hwang, who is the president of KDHC, both participated in the ceremony and signed the contract.

KSM and KDHC pledged to make efforts to establish inter-Korean cooperative projects in both malnutrition reduction and environmental improvement in North Korea through the contract.

KDHC has decided to donate 50 million Korean Won per year to KSM for three successive years from 2019 to 2021. In 2019, during the first year of cooperation, the donation will fund some programs to improve the nutrition of Korean children living near the border between China and North Korea. From 2020 onwards, KSM and KDHC plan to extend the range of their cooperation to the environmental domain and renewable energy.
